Ales from Barsham Brewery in Fakenham, Norfolk being delivered onto the Purfleet quay at King’s Lynn in what is thought to be the first commercial delivery of goods to the dock in several decades. The consignment of beer made a 24 hour journey from the brewery and then around the Norfolk coast in the whelk boat the Salfor d, where it was then conveyed to the Bank House restaurant in the town by electric van.
