A 60 ft, 40 tonne Sperm whale or Cachalot (Physeter macrocephalus) which died in The Wash and washed up on Thornham beach, Brancaster, Norfolk. The whale is believed to come from a pod of sperm whales who have mistakenly strayed into the North Sea.
