Prospective buyers inspect a Fordson Major at Hilgay Collective Farm sale in Norfolk,UK. The Fordson was the worlds first mass produced tractor with this model made in Dagenham between 1951 & 1960 under licence from Henry Ford in the USA. Despite only pulling 54hp compared to the 530hp of its modern counterparts the vehicle was very popular with independent farmers due its reliability and the local availability of spare parts.
