The staircase in the Great Hall at Blickling Hall, Norfolk which has been opened ?to the public for the first time since the Jacobean mansion was built in the 15th Century. One of the most elaborate staircases in Britain it features intricate carvings and relief figures, most notably of Queen Anne Boleyn who was born at Blickling Hall in the early sixteenth century and whose ghost is rumoured to haunt the hallways. Throughout the centuries ?the hall has paid host to some of history's most notable figures including?Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin, who stayed at Blickling during the 1936 abdication crisis, Nancy Astor, the first woman MP, and Nazi Germany?s foreign minister Von Ribbentrop, who visited in 1938.
