Share Content Published October 22, 2014 ©Si Barber. Moral rights asserted. Henry Cordeaux with a copy of the Times from 1805 which announces the death of Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar. The paper has been in his family for 100 years and Mr Cordeaux put it up for auction in Fakenham, Norfolk on Saturday 12th March where it sold for £205. 2005 is the two-hundreth annivesary of Nelson's death and it was reported in the Times as part of an Admiralty briefing and suggests his final words were "don't let me be thrown overboard'. 1805 battle cordeaux death henry nelson newspaper notice times trafalgar
